Are you an ESOL instructor or volunteer? Join us for the Literacy Coalition‘s first Literacy Instructor Meet Up on Monday, April 11th from 12:00-1:00 pm at Austin’s Carver Library (map) in Room 1.
Here’s what the Literacy Coalition has to say about the event –
“In the future, we hope to tailor the topics of these meetings to areas of interest to the instructors, and offer them a chance to learn from and interact with guest speakers and other experienced classroom instructors. Possible topics include teaching a multi-level classroom, working with very low-literate students, and learning styles. We welcome suggestions based on what you see in your classroom!”
Please bring your lunch and come ready to share your unique career and/or volunteer experiences of working with English language learners.
If you’re able to attend, please RSVP online @ https://willread.dabbledb.com/page/instructormeet-upregistration/SGuPBpwg or by calling the Literacy Coalition at 512-320-4505.
For more information, please contact Sarah Collins or Jen Freeman.
Hope to see some of you there!
