After a nice holiday break, we returned to our office on Monday and as expected, we found ourselves catching up and talking about our personal resolutions for the New Year. I have found the more I tell people about my resolutions the easier it is to keep those resolutions as I will have people to hold me accountable. Bekah, our wonderful Program Manager, then had a great idea! Why not come up with some resolutions for English at Work as a whole?
We brainstormed a bit and here is what we came up with –
- Waste Less Paper
- Find a nice office space that we can grow into
- Continue to take good care of our students and teachers
- Throw a student-centered bash this summer
- Institute regular English at Work happy hours (Must keep the staff happy!)
- Volunteer in a class (Kassie)
- Sort through old files (Bekah)
- Don’t get distracted and stick to the plan (Maile)
