Earlier this month, we took part in the Rock a Charity contest and asked for your help in getting us into the top 3 finalists. With your overwhelming support, we successfully made it to the finals and will now have the opportunity to win some funding that will go directly into our programs to help the Austin immigrant and refugee community. The last part of the contest takes place this Friday, February 18th at the Rock a Charity party. We (and the other 2 finalists) will be delivering a pitch to all attendees and then attendees will have the opportunity to vote for the charity they believe is the most deserving of their donation. The charity with the most votes will win 50% of the funds brought in that night and the other two charities will receive the remaining 50 percent.
The party is a wonderful opportunity for English at Work to raise awareness and expand our network, but we would also definitely love to win first prize! The more English at Work supporters we have in attendance at the party, the better our chances of winning. We would love to see some familiar faces so please consider in joining us this Friday for the festivities! Below are the details –
Where: Link Coworking (2700 West Anderson Lane, Ste. 205 – behind Chipotle)
When: Friday, February 18, 2011 – Doors open at 7:00pm and only the first 200 will be admitted. We must stress that once the first 200 attendees are in, the doors will close and no one will be let in even if other attendees leave early. Please try and arrive early!
Details: Minimum of $20 donation. Open bar and food will be provided courtesy of WWTDN and The Spirited Chef.

We hope to see you there this Friday! For those that cannot attend, we cannot thank you enough for helping us reach the finals. You will be with us in spirit!
