- Manipulatives that “bring in the outside” such as:
- Old cell phones (for practicing dialogues such as calling in sick or making a doctor’s appointment)
- Cooking utensils (for classes at restaurants)
- Empty medicine bottles (for practice with reading labels during Health and Safety course)
- Small calculators (for number crunching during lessons on paychecks and pay stubs in the Employee Responsibilities course)
